General canvas questions
What does the term wrapped mean?
Printing digital photos to canvas prints requires the material to be wrapped around a specially designed inner wooden frame. This allows the canvas to neatly conceal the frame giving your art a high quality finish. Any detail near the edge of the image will be wrapped around the edges of the wooden frame. Therefore if you don't want important detail to be lost by wrapping, please choose a border. Please be assured that we check every image and order and we will contact you if you choose a wrapped option and we think your image is unsuitable for wrapping.

Suitable for wrapping - taking 4cm of the image to wrap
around the edges doesn't cut off main object of photo
|
|

Not suitable for wrapping - top of baby's head and
some of the hands would wrap around the frame |
How much of my image will I lose?
We take 4cm of each edge of the image to wrap around the top, sides, bottom and back of the inner wooden frame of your canvas print. If you have any detail that you want keeping near the edge of your image and you are not sure if it will be lost around the sides - choose a border, or email us with your image and query.
Why have a border?
You can choose to have a border when ordering any canvas prints however a border is recommended if detail from your digital photo is lost when wrapping around the frame. A border allows you to keep all of the image on the face of the canvas.
Which should I choose - wrapped or border?
Please see our examples below, for the effect of wrapping the image or choosing a border. However, please read the above important information before placing an order with regard to whether your image is suitable for wrapping. You will lose 4cm of your image around the edge of the canvas if you choose wrapped, however, if you choose a border, all of your image will be on the face of the canvas.
